Busy as a Bee Serving You
History
In 1981, River City Delivery was created in San Antonio, TX to satisfy a local need for dependable full-trailer deliveries of commercial freight. In 1983, River City Delivery united with San Antonio Merchant Shippers to provide regional retailers significant savings in their freight expenditures via the LTL model still used today. It is at this point that Bee Trucking was born. For a decade, Bee would primarily ship local and regional loads, i.e. service clients in San Antonio, throughout the state, and bordering states.
In the early 1990s, Bee underwent a transformation, turning its focus toward long-haul trucking. Bee Trucking began expanding its customer base, the products shipped and the area of operations. As customers’ demands rose and became more complex, Bee expanded to meet these needs. Bee's fleet of tractors and trailers grew, allowing us to ship all forty-eight states.
In 2009, Bee expanded once more to include a refrigerated division. This expansion entailed designating specific company trucks to the refrigerated division.
Present
Today, Bee's fleet includes over one hundred and forty owner operators and more than thirty company tractors along with more than 325 dry van and refrigerated trailers.. Bee picks up and delivers commercial freight across the United States.
